Three Jewels (Ratanattaya). The Three Jewels are the three treasures: – Buddha-treasure (Buddharatana). - German-Dharma-bao (Dhammaratana). - Germany-Saint-bao (Saṃgharatana). Meaning of Ratana: Treasure of the Three Jewels The reason why Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha are revered as the Buddha-treasure, the Dharma-protection, and the Sangha-bao is because each has its own. enough 5 precious and noble virtues: 1- Cittīkata: Generates reverence. 2- Mahaggha: Priceless. 3- Atula: Unmatched, unsurpassed. 4- Dulabhadassana: Hard to hear, hard to see. 5- Anomasattaparibhoga: Noble living beings have inherited good conditions. Those are the five precious and noble qualities of the Three Jewels. 1- The Buddha (Buddharatana) The Buddha is called the Buddha because he has 5 precious and noble qualities as follows: 1.1- The Buddha is worthy of reverence The Buddha has full 32 good generals of great-great-grandfather and 80 good minor generals. The Buddha is the One who has eradicated all defilements, all cravings, all evil dharmas, and all pre-defects. Therefore, all sentient beings such as the King, the recluse, the brahmin, the people, the gods, the brahmin, etc., when coming to pay homage to the Buddha, pay their respects, After paying their respects, they sat down in a reasonable place, admiring the Buddha, who had all 32 good signs of great people and 80 good signs, whose aura radiated bright and cool, making their hearts extremely happy. When they heard the Buddha preach the Dharma, they sat with their hands clasped together and listened, and then generated pure faith in the Buddha. After listening to the Dharma, they realize the truth of the Four Noble Truths, attaining the following: * There are a number of people who have attained the Noble Path Entry, the Saint Fruit, and Nirvana. save. * There are a number of attainments to the One-laid-Returning Path, the One-laid-returning-Saint-Result and Nirvana, becoming the Holy One-returner. * Having a number of attainments of the Noble Truth of the Realm, Non-returner Saint-fruit and Nirvana, become the Holy Non-returner. * There are a number of attainment of Arahantship of the Holy Path, Arahant of the Holy Fruit and Nirvana, becoming a Saint of Arhat. * There are some asking for permission to become a novice monk or monk in the Buddha's teachings. * There are a number of people who ask for permission to take refuge in the Three Jewels to become a male assistant, or a female servant who relies on the Three Jewels: Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. for a lifetime. And every time I come to see the Buddha, I increase my faith and respect for the Buddha. Therefore, the Buddha is the Buddha-treasure worthy of reverence. 1.2- The Buddha-Treasure is priceless The treasures in life no matter how precious they are, they can be valued. As for the Buddha, there are 9 most noble Buddhas, so it cannot be valued. Indeed, when the Buddha was still in the world, the rich man Jotika had a castle of precious stones, turned out by the gods; the rich man Jaṭila had a mountain of pure gold, etc.. Those rich people came to serve the Buddha, generated pure faith in the Buddha, they abandoned their families, jeweled castles, golden mountains. , asked the Buddha for permission to become a monk in the Buddha's teachings. After they become bhikkhus, practice the Dharma, practice meditation, and lead to realizing the truth of the Four Noble Truths, attaining the Four Noble Truths, the Four Noble Truths, the Four Noble Fruits, and Nirvana, becoming a Saint A. -ra-han with the four wisdom-analyses, six-way communication, ... Therefore, the Buddha is the priceless Buddha in thousands of realms of beings. 1.3- The Buddha-Bad is supreme Among the thousands of realms of beings, gods, brahma, recluses, brahmins, etc. clean as Buddha. Likewise, no one has the virtue of concentration, the virtue of wisdom, the virtue of liberation, liberated from knowledge-knowledge-virtue is completely pure and complete like the Buddha. Only the Buddha has all the five noble virtues completely complete. Therefore, the Buddha is the Supreme Buddha in the ten thousand worlds of beings. Indeed, in the Sutras, the Buddha taught: - O Bhikkhus! A unique being is appearing in the world (ten thousand realms of beings), there is no second like him, no equal, no similar, no equal, no there are competitors who, not like all sentient beings, but like the buddhas of the past, are Supreme among all beings. Who is that unique one? That one-of-a-kind is the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Fully Enlightened Buddha. - O monks! This unique being that is appearing in the world, there is no second like him, … Buddha is the Supreme Being in all living beings.(1) Notes (1) Aṅguttaranikāya, Ekakanipāta, Ekapuggalavagga. 1.4- The Buddha-Treasure is hard to hear, hard to see In life, precious things are rare, often hard to see, hard to get easily. Even more difficult in the cycle of birth and death, it is difficult for every living being to hear the name of the Buddha, and it is difficult to have a chance to see the Buddha. Indeed, according to the history of Buddha Gotama, from Buddha Dīpaṅkara to Buddha Koṇḍañña, the time interval that passes through 1 aeon aeon the earth becomes-to-pervade-nothing is infinite. , without a fully Enlightened Buddha appearing in the world, called suññakappa: earth life where no Buddha appeared. Likewise, from Buddha Koṇḍañña to Buddha Maṅgala, from Buddha Sobhita to Buddha Anomadassī, and from the Buddha Nārada to the Buddha Padumuttara, the time interval that passes through a great aeon aeon the earth becomes-pervades-island, without innumerable Buddhas. - Sense appears in the world. Therefore, every time the Buddha appears in this world, it is a rare thing, extremely rare, because in order to become the Fully Enlightened Buddha, the Bodhisattva of Perfect Enlightenment. It is necessary to fully practice the 30 perfections of conduct over a long period of time, over innumerable kalpas. Just as the current Gotama Buddha in our time belongs to the supremely intelligent Buddha of Perfect Enlightenment, the previous life of the Bodhisattva of Perfect Enlightenment has super wisdom- Viet has fully practiced the 30 perfections of conduct through countless kalpas, during a total period of 3 periods of 20 asankhyas and 100,000 earth kalpas. That is half the time (1⁄2) of the Bodhisattva of Perfect Enlightenment with transcendent faith and a quarter (1⁄4) of the time of the Bodhisatta. -Slapping Chanh-Enlightened-Enlightenment has only super-transcendental effort. Therefore, every Chiefly Enlightened Buddha appearing in the world is an extremely rare, very rare thing. Therefore, every day the Buddha often reminds and advises the monks that: - Hey, monks! You try diligently to fulfill all the duties of the Four Noble Truths with the unforgiving dharma, practice the practice of the four foundations of mindfulness, because “Buddhuppādo dullabho lokasmiṃ, … The Buddha appeared in this world. It is a difficult thing to do, ..." Therefore, the Buddha is the Buddha-treasure that is difficult to hear, difficult to have the opportunity to see, difficult to have the opportunity to take refuge in the Buddha-treasure. 1.5- Buddha Treasure is a refuge for sentient beings with blessings In life, jewels such as diamonds, diamonds, jade, ... are the jewels of the rich and rich. As for the poor and needy, they don't have those treasures. The treasures in the human realm, the dragon palace, the devas, and the brahma realms cannot be compared with the Buddha. Buddha is said to be priceless, the most noble, so those who come to seek refuge in the Buddha's teachings, surely those people have had a blessing there. The Buddha of the past or the disciples of the Buddha of the past, have practiced and accumulated in their minds the perfections of conduct over many lifetimes in the past- past to this present life. Therefore, in the present life, such people will have a good opportunity to come and take refuge in the Buddha's teachings. So, The Buddha-bao is the refuge of beings who have a predestined relationship with the Buddha. Those are the five precious and noble qualities of the Buddha. 2- Dhammaratana The Dharma-telling is the 10 righteous dharmas: 1 dharma-studying-dharma and 9 super-three-world dharmas (4 Saint-Paths, 4 Holy-Results, Nirvana-- table) that is the teaching of the Buddha. Duc-Dharma is called Duc-Dharma-Bao because it has 5 precious and noble qualities as follows: 2.1- Duc-Dharma-Dharma is worthy of respect--Dharma-study of the Dharma-that is learning the Pali Tripitaka and the Pāḷi Commentary, which is the teaching of Gotama Buddha that all shravaka disciples must have reverence and have the duty to study the Dharma. For the shravakas who are still mortal disciples and the three sages (Saints of Stream-entry, Saints of the One-Returner, and of the Saints of Non-returners), it is necessary to study the Dharma-study- Dharma as the basis for practicing the Dharma-practice precepts, Dharma-practice meditation, Dharma-practice meditation-wisdom. For the Unlearned Saint who is the Arahant who learns the Dharma, learns the righteous Dharma to preserve and maintain, preserves the Dharma for a long time in the world, bringing benefits, evolution, the well-being of sentient beings, gods and humans. Those nine super-three worlds are the 4 Noble Paths, the 4 Holy Fruits, and Nirvana is the result of the practice of meditation and wisdom. Practitioners practice Dharma, practice meditation, lead to realization of the Four Noble Truths, realize the Four Noble Truths, the Four Noble Truths, the Four Noble Fruits, Nirvana, and eliminate all craving, all troubles. -The brain has no residue, becomes an Arahant, and then liberates the sufferings of birth and death in the three worlds. Therefore, the Dharma is a Dharma treasure worthy of respect not only for the disciples of the Buddha, but also for the Buddhas of the past, the present Buddha. present and future Buddhas as well, They also respect the German-Dharma-bao. 2.2- Virtue-Dharma is priceless The treasures in life, no matter how precious, only make the owner happy, bring the owner benefits in the present life only, not bring any benefits. benefits in future lives. As for Duc-Fa-bao, there are 6 Grace-Dharma-dharmas that bring to the shravakas the benefits, evolution, and lasting happiness both in the present life and in many future lives. , and especially liberated from the suffering of birth and death in the three worlds and four species. Therefore, Germany-France is the German-Dharma-treasure that is priceless. 2.3 – The German-Dharma-Bao is noble * The Dharma-study of the Dharma are the teachings of the Buddha, guiding sentient beings the path to liberation from suffering, birth and death, samsara in the three worlds. So, dharma-studying-dharma is noble. * Nine legal super-three-world that is 4 Saint-Path, 4 Saint-fruit, Nirvana is the fruit of the practice-meditation-wisdom. Practitioners practice Dharma, practice meditation, and become four noble saints: stream-entry saints, one-returned saints, non-returners, and high arahants. upper. Therefore, Germany-France is the noble Dharma-treasure. 2.4- The Buddha-Dharma is difficult to hear when the Buddha-Dharma appears in the world, but it is difficult for the Buddha to appear in the world. Therefore, German-Dharma-telling is also difficult to hear. Gotama Buddha appeared in the world, and at the same time the Buddha Dharma also appeared in the world. Although Gotama Buddha passed away from Nirvana 2,562 years ago, the Buddha-Dharma still exists in the world until 5,000 years of Buddhist life. After 5,000 years, Duc-Fa-bao will be completely lost and degraded in the human realm. At that time, humans will no longer be able to hear the Dharma. So, Germany-France is a German-French-telling that is hard to hear. 2.5- The Dharma Treasure is a refuge for sentient beings with blessed conditions. Those who have all the blessings and conditions come to ask for refuge in the Buddha-Bad, those sentient beings he also takes refuge in the Dharma-Bao. There are two types of people who take refuge in the Dharma-protected One: – Saint Thanh-van disciples, after having attained the Noble Path, the Holy Fruits, and Nirvana, become a Saint. take refuge in the Dharma-to-be-right Dharma. That sage also takes refuge in the Dharma-study of the Dharma, the Dharma-administration of the Dharma. - Ordinary people who respectfully ask for refuge in the Dharma-study of the Dharma and the Dharma-administration in the Dharma, have not yet attained the Noble Path and the Holy Fruits, so they have not yet been able to take refuge in the Dharma. -to become the Dharma. The rows of disciples who are saints or ordinary people are certainly those who have had good luck with the Buddha in the past, or the saints and disciples of the past, have been. accumulated the perfection of conduct over many past lives. Therefore, in this present life, there is a good opportunity to take refuge in the Buddha-Dharma. Therefore, Germany-Dharma-bao is the place of refuge for sentient beings with blessed-conditions. Those are the five noble and precious qualities of the Dharma-Protection. 3- The Sangha (Saṃgharatana) The Sangha said that it was Ariyasaṃgha: the Holy Sangha, the saints who were disciples of the Buddha. . 4 Holy Path → 4 Matching Holy Fruits – Entering the Holy Path → Entering the Holy Fruit. – One-Return Saint-Path → One-Return Saint-Result. – Non-returning Holy Path → Non-Returning Holy-Result. – Arahant of the Holy Path → Arahant of the Holy Fruit. 4 Saint-Path - Enter-save the Holy-Path (Sotāpattimagga). - One-returned Noble-Path (Sakadāgāmimagga). - Non-returning Holy-Path (Anāgāmimagga). - Arahant of the Holy Path (Arahattamagga). 4 Saint-Results - Enter-Save Saint-Result (Sotāpattiphala). - One-return Saint-fruit (Sakadāgāmiphala). - Non-returning Saint-fruit (Anāgāmiphala). - Arahant Holy Fruit (Arahattaphala). 4 Saint-level - Saint-level Enter-stream (Sotāpanna). – The One-Returned Noble One (Sakadāgāmī). - The Noble One (Anāgāmī). - Arahant (Arahant). The Holy Sangha is called the Venerable Sangha because he has 5 precious and noble qualities as follows: 3.1- The Sangha worthy of respect The Sangha says that the Saints are shravakas. disciples of the Buddha, you have practiced in accordance with the right dharma, have pure and pure virtues, have firm concentration, and have wisdom to destroy defilements, there is liberation-virtue of peace, there is liberation-knowledge-virtue of contemplation of dharmas. Gentlemen, you are the holy Sangha who have inherited the righteous dharma and preserved and promoted the right dharma of the Buddha from generation to generation, preserving and maintaining the right dharma to this day. . Therefore, the Venerable Sangha is indeed worthy of respect. 3.2- The Sangha is priceless The Sangha is the Saints and disciples of the Buddha, have all 9 virtues of the Sangha, are you the noble merit field of sentient beings? There is no place comparable. Those who have pure faith in the Three Jewels, believe in karma and its results, and who respect, worship, and offer offerings to the monks of the Holy Sangha, whether more or less, are sure to have blessings. immeasurable good and the fruit of meritorious virtue is immeasurable, immeasurable, even in this present life and countless future lives. They achieve the precious fruit of the human realm (manussa-sampatti), the precious fruit of the heavenly realm (devasampatti) and especially finally attain the precious fruit of Nibbāna (nibbāna-sampatti), liberation from the sufferings of birth and death in samsara. three kingdoms four species. Therefore, Duc-Tang-bao is priceless. 3.3- The Venerable Sangha is noble The Sangha is the Saints and disciples of the Buddha, who have practiced in accordance with the true Dharma, have become Stream-winners, the Holy One-returner, the Noble One-returner, the noble Arahant. Therefore, Duc-Tang-said is noble. 3.4- The Sangha is hard to hear, it is hard to see the Sangha appear in the world, when the Buddha and the Dharma appear in the world, that the Buddha told and the German-Dharma-bao appearing in the world is a difficult thing to hear, difficult to see. Therefore, the Buddha-Tang-bao is also difficult to hear, difficult to see. Although Gotama Buddha passed away from Nirvana 2,562 years ago, the Buddha-Dharma and the Sangha still exist in the world until 5,000 years of Buddhist life. After 5,000 years, in the human realm no one hears, sees, or knows the Blessed One, including the saints and ordinary monks. 3.5- The Venerable Sangha is a place of refuge for sentient beings who are fortunate enough to take refuge in the Blessed One. Those who have good fortune come to take refuge in the Buddha's teachings, and take refuge in the Buddha. Dharma-protected, those people also take refuge in Germany-Sangha. Those who come to take refuge in the Sangha are certain that those people have had good luck with the Buddha in the past, or the saints and disciples of the Buddha in the past. , has practiced and accumulated in his mind the perfection of conduct through many lives in the past up to this present life. So, In this present life, those people will have a good opportunity to take refuge in the Blessed Sacrament. Therefore, the Venerable Sangha is a place of refuge for sentient beings with good fortune.
