Upholding the Five Precepts, but why should we take the Three Refuges? Without firm belief in the three very precious and fundamental things Buddha, Dharma and Sangha (Three Jewels), it is difficult for us to practice the Five Precepts I want to observe the Five Precepts, but why should we take the Three Refuges? ie The Three Returns to the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha? Without a firm belief in the three very precious and fundamental things that are Buddha, Dharma and Sangha (Three Jewels), it is difficult to practice the Five Precepts. The Buddha in us is a firm belief that if we practice for ourselves every day, we will gradually become a source of peace for ourselves and everyone around us, we will become a Buddha. Taking refuge in the Buddha also means "taking refuge in the Buddha", which means that we firmly believe in our own enlightenment ability, the ability to transform difficulties and liberate all suffering for ourselves, believe that we will become a source of happiness for ourselves, believe that we will become a source of happiness for ourselves and for all beings. "Take refuge in the Buddha", in the ordinary language of Monk Plum Village, "Return to take refuge in the Buddha within you". The Buddha within us means the potential for enlightenment within us. We know that Shakyamuni Buddha is the guru, the root teacher, a very wise and compassionate teacher who can lead us to overcome difficulties in life. He is not a God to bless and decide our lives. The Buddha in us is a firm belief that if we practice for ourselves every day, we will gradually become a source of peace for ourselves and everyone around us, we will become a Buddha. "I take refuge in the Dharma" It means that we trust the method that Shakyamuni Buddha handed down from his own experience. If he has done and succeeded in transforming himself into full enlightenment, we can also do it to get out of our own and society's impasse. We need support and exchange of practice experiences with fellow practitioners so that our view becomes closer and closer to reality and our behavior becomes more and more harmonious. "I am going to take refuge in the Sangha" means that we believe in the mutual help of fellow initiates, to advance together on the path of transforming the weak habits in our body and mind, and in the wisdom of the community. community of people who are willing to walk on the path to liberation from suffering like me. We need support and exchange of practice experiences with fellow practitioners so that our view becomes closer and closer to reality and our behavior becomes more and more harmonious. Relying on the collective practice together, we hope to have a fairly large common wisdom, knowing how to transform the deadlock situations of the family, of society and of our country as well as of the world. Without faith in those three precious refuges, it is difficult to practice the Five Precepts well. of society and of the country as well as of the world.
